Origin Story

The Origin Story of Match Maker VA

Joshua and Sara’s love story began on Tinder in April 2022, and by September, they were married. Both approached online dating with intention, having crafted lists of what they sought in a life partner. Upon meeting, they realized very quickly they matched each other’s deepest desires.

Despite facing challenges in their nearly three-year marriage, they continue to grow stronger and fall more in love every day. Their mission is to inspire others to be intentional in their dating journeys to find compatible matches. They reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia, co-parenting three children from Josh's previous relationships and sharing a daughter together.

Having experienced numerous unsuccessful matches, Joshua and Sara were determined to be different. They committed to honesty and clarity, grilling each other on their first date to avoid the games often associated with dating.

This journey inspired Joshua to create a program that emphasizes authenticity and intentionality in relationships. Match Maker VA seeks to go beyond superficiality, focusing on what truly makes relationships meaningful.
